Welcome to the Nidderdale Plus website!
Nidderdale Plus is a local community partnership, formed to help local groups and organisations access regional and European grant programmes in the Harrogate Borough Council "European Objective 2" area. This area encompasses the Wards of Mashamshire, Kirkby Malzeard, Pateley Bridge, Nidd Valley, Lower Nidderdale, Killinghall and Wharfedale Moors.
It is a voluntary organisation, with members giving their time without charge. Membership of the Partnership is free, and anyone living, working or with commercial or business interests in the area, is welcome to join.
The Nidderdale Plus Partnership is a voluntary community organisation, which is constituted as a company limited by guarantee under the Companies Acts.
Its objectives are as follows:-
- To benefit the communities of Nidderdale and Mashamshire, comprising the wards of Mashamshire, Kirby Malzeard, Pateley Bridge, Nidd Valley, Lower Nidderdale, Killinghall, Wharfedale Moor by encouraging and assisting with the development and implementation of policies and activities which promote the economic, social and cultural well-being and sustainability of the area.
- To encourage, foster and participate in partnerships and associations of local organisations, statutory bodies, commercial organisations and associations, voluntary groups and individuals in order to stimulate involvement in local action, in order to share resources, and n order to engender a culture of co-operative working.
- To work in partnership with statutory bodies, local regional, national and international agencies, commercial organisations and associations, voluntary groups and individuals in order to encourage inward investment for the area.
